Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StudyZora (the “Service”), an AI-powered study platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use StudyZora

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using StudyZora you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at hello@studyzora.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You may close your account at any time.

3. Your content

“Your Content” means the notes, documents, links, and other material you upload or submit. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant StudyZora a limited licence to store and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, to extract text, generate flashcards, quizzes, notes, and tutoring, and to compute your learning progress.

You represent that you have the rights to the material you upload, and that it does not:

• infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
• contain unlawful, harmful, or malicious content; or
• violate any exam board, institution, or third-party terms you are bound by.

4. AI-generated content

StudyZora uses third-party AI models to generate study material. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You should independently verify anything you rely on, especially for exams, assessments, or professional decisions. StudyZora is a study aid, not a substitute for your own judgement, your course materials, or professional advice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to break the law or infringe others’ rights;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• resell or redistribute the Service or AI output as your own product; or
• upload content you are not permitted to share.

6. Plans, payments, and refunds

StudyZora offers a free plan with daily limits and a paid Pro plan. Paid passes are billed through our payment provider (IntaSend), including M-Pesa and card payments. Prices are shown before purchase. A Pro pass grants access for its stated period; buying another pass extends your access. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyZora and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or academic outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm StudyZora or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
